Reconstructing Behavior Patterns in Built Spaces
Why Re-Place?
Working with IKEA Sweden, we installed 150 MITes in an apartment in Sweden. These MITes were primarily motion activated and ran for 6 months.
We then developed Re-Place to spatialize 6 months of data. The intention was to explore various forms of UI with regards to large datasets that involve XYZ spatial co-ordinates.
We re-appropriated gaming engine software that allowed for the creation of more immersive environments.
